The Challenge

My client's organisation is a leader in the welfare field supporting many thousands of unemployed and disadvantaged jobseekers into sustainable work. Through analysis of Job Advisors' working practices, my client observed that those advisors who 'coached' achieved better performance than those who 'told'. The challenge was to help all advisors adopt more of a coaching approach to their work.
The Solution

Through discussion and exploration of the key issues, we arrived at a blended learning solution consisting of online learning, workshop-based skills practice and self directed reflective feedback. My role was to create the online learning that preceded the live workshops. As the content was to be accessed on any device from smart phones to PCs, I chose Articulate Rise as the development tool due to its device-responsive output.
The Result

The participant feedback was overwhelmingly positive to the coaching programme. Many expressed their appreciation for the ability to complete the coaching theory online ahead of the live workshops. Three months after completing the programme, 62% of participants reported increased performance and a higher sense of job satisfaction.
